Parmesan Chips
PRO/FATS & VEGGIES – LEVEL 1
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (freshly shredded)
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese freshly shredded
Instructions
- Heat an 8-inch nonstick sauté pan over low to medium heat.
- Sprinkle half the cheese evenly in the pan, making a circle or "pancake".
- Leave "pancake" 2-3 minutes until melted and flip with a spatula.
- Brown the second side.
- Remove from pan to a cutting board.
- While still warm, cut the "pancake" like a pizza into 12 triangle chips (a pizza cutter or sharp knife works great).
- Repeat with remaining cheese.
Notes
Makes a great bread substitute.
These Parmesan chips really hit the spot! They make delicious little chips or crackers to serve with dip, to garnish salad or soup, or to munch all on their own. They are great with sun-dried tomato on top.
The secret to these delicious and easy chips is an 8-inch nonstick pan and using shredded, not grated, Parmesan. Use the small shredder on your grater, or buy pres-shredded Parmesan.
